Dr. Fauci and the Wayward Deer
How the quest for a vaccine against all viruses created a Pythonesque tragedy of errors.
We’ve all been reading about how COVID is “rampant” among American deer. How they have “stunning” rates of COVID. Absolutely “shockingly high” rates of COVID !
According to one study, SARS-CoV-2 antibodies were detected in one sample of infected American deer was collected before January 2020. The virus had spread throughout the wild deer population in 2020.
But when asked “How did this happen?” the ‘expert’ response is always a variant of “I dunno.”
Oh, deer, it’s not surprising that they don’t want to talk — their NIH funding and the whole COVID narrative depends on their silence. According to the CDC, COVID didn’t arrive in the US before mid-January 2020. What was the point of lockdowns and social distancing if the COVID had already spread nationwide?
If COVID only spread through close indoor contact, why were wild deer more infected than city-dwelling humans? Did the deer fail to mask? Should they have locked down harder?
I’d wondered about these deer for a while. Then I discovered that their COVID infections may have been caused by the quest for virology’s Holy Grail. A quest for a vaccine to cure all ills. A vaccine you can’t refuse. A self spreading vaccine.
I read a little more about self spreading vaccines and — oh — my — God.
The Quest
Fauci’s quest for a vaccine to end all vaccines began in earnest after the 2001 Anthrax attacks. After the 9/11 attacks, the United States was already in a state of alert. When anonymous letters laced with deadly anthrax were sent to reporters and government officials, America fell into a state of panic that wasn’t seen again until March 2020.
Fighting bioterrorism became a priority. In 2004, Dick Cheney and George Bush believed they couldn’t depend on the free market or individuals to keep them safe. They needed a plan. Their “Biodefense for the 21st Century“ directive made Anthony Fauci chief poobah of America’s biodefence infrastructure.
When billions of dollars were poured into the NIH for bio-defense, Public Health and medical research became an arm of the defense industry. When you think of Fauci, don’t think of your friendly neighborhood doctor. Think of General “Lead Me, Follow Me or Get Out of My Way” Patton. Defending our country (ie. our political leaders) was Fauci’s job. Keeping commoners healthy was (and is) not.
With absolute control of the majority of medical research funding, Fauci began to push drug companies to follow his lead or get out of the way.
At that time, privately traded companies tried to avoid vaccines. They had low profit margins and were especially prone to liability suits. But Fauci loved vaccines. Vaccines were his imagined solutions to Anthrax, AIDS — everything. He used his newfound power turn this obsession into a crusade, ignoring all complaints.
Nattering from the cheap seats never had much effect on men like Bush, Cheney and Fauci. To them, we’re sheep, and they are our noble shepherds, guiding us with their noble goals and noble lies.
The Grail
One of Fauci’s biggest projects was a ‘next-generation anthrax vaccine’. That project was a flaming disaster. The military stopped giving the shots in the mid-2000’s when some soldiers objected to being used as guinea pigs. Long-term side effects included:
Multiple sclerosis
autoimmune arthritis
Lupus
Infertility
Allergic neuritis (nerve inflammation that can lead to paralysis)
Allergic uveitis (eye muscle inflammation that can compress the optic nerve and lead to blindness)
Congenital disabilities in children
Neurological damage
Slurred speech
Impaired motor skills
Cognitive impairment
Loss of balance
Lack of coordination
But the quest continued. Longtime coronavirus researcher Ralph Baric had a plan. The SCIENCE™ approved. The Universal Pancoronavirus vaccine conceived in the early 2000’s, looked like it could be the answer to Fauci’s dreams success in 2020. Until it wasn’t.
Some believed traditional vaccines wouldn’t be enough. Not even super-universal vaccines. We needed something — unstoppable. A self-spreading vaccine (actually a virus) that would spread like a disease but would work like a vaccine, giving you a mild case of the virus to activate your immune system and alert it to this (and similar) diseases.
Here’s an illustration of how it works. Pretend you’re the bat.
It can be injected into you, painted on you, or, if the safety experts followed Fauci, Collins and Peter Dazsak’s DEFUSE proposal, it could be sprayed onto you. Seriously.
Again, imagine you’re the bat:
“Using localy acquired insectivorous bats®**, we will assess delivery vehicles and methods including: 1) transdermally aplied nanoparticles; 2)sticky edible gels that bats mutualy groom and consume;3) aerosolization via prototype sprayers (Or. Unidad, PARC) designed for cavesetings; and 4) automated sprays trigered by timers and movement detectors at critical cave entry points”
More from the DEFUSE Proposal:
Your taxpayer dollars at work.
Self-spreading viruses aren’t just a theory, they’ve been causing problems for decades. In the late 1980s, Australian researchers used self-spreading viruses to sterilize or kill wildlife like foxes, mice, and rabbits.
Later, concerns about this method were exacerbated by the escape of another ‘limited’ field trial in a super “high-security” island laboratory. This goof led to widespread viral transmission in Australia and New Zealand.
By 2007, they stopped funding self spreading viruses. In a requiem, they concluded:
“It is clear that a single unwanted introduction of a GM [genetically modified viral] biocontrol agent could have serious consequences. Once a persisting transmissible GMO is released (whether intentionally, legally, or otherwise), it is unlikely that it could be completely removed from the environment. The scientific community involved in developing GM biocontrols therefore needs to demonstrate a highly precautionary attitude. Scientists also have an ethical responsibility to consider the full implications of the solutions they are researching: they must be seen to be acting openly, collaboratively and responsibly”
Of course, that warning was promptly ignored. Like this recent (2020) study conducted at RML, using deer mice to study self-spreading animal vaccines. They built RML’s supposedly super-secure labs for this purpose.
For our valiant defenders against bio-terror, the promise of a fast-spreading vaccine that infects bats and humans like a virus, mutates like a virus and can’t be refused was too good to be true.
I mean, who wouldn’t be thrilled with that? Well, anyone who witnessed the dumpster fire of our ‘expert’-led COVID response might be a little peeved.
This viral vaccine could make you sick. If it mutated, recombined with human pathogens or was modified by malicious actors, it could kill. And spread like wildfire. And, like COVID, it would be impossible to control.
But that won’t stop our Noble protectors who “are now poised to begin developing even more self-disseminating vaccines” They’ve outlined a road map for overcoming remaining technical challenges.. and minimizing the risk of unintended consequences.”
‘Minimizing the risk of unintended consequences.’ — We know how that story ends.
Are you suggesting COVID migrates?
According to this study, SARS-CoV-2 antibodies were detected in one sample of infected American deer was collected before January 2020. But the narrative tells us COVID appeared in the Wuhan wet market when a bat kissed a pangolin in mid-December 2019. If COVID wasn’t carried by a swallow, perhaps it traveled back in time?
Or, more likely, it was in circulation long before that fateful day in the Wuhan wet market.
Most of the COVID/zoonotic focus has been on bats. The US even has its own ‘global bat alliance’, the Bat One Health Research Network (BOHRN). They’ve been working with DARPA to develop “scalable vectored” vaccine/viruses to spread through bat populations.
But White-tailed Deer are also “important hosts for several zoonotic pathogens .. diseases such as brucellosis and tuberculosis [which] are transmitted between cervids and livestock, making these important diseases at the wildlife–livestock–human interface.”
An important (and horrific) wildlife–human interface took place in 2012, in China’s Yunnan province, when a group of workers, ages 30 to 63, were scrubbing a copper seam clean of bat poop. Weeks later, they suffered “persistent coughs, fevers, head and chest pains and breathing difficulties.” Three eventually died.
Shi Zhengli at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) had been tirelessly searching for new pathogens to ‘help prevent another pandemic’. Suspecting the miners had been infected by a novel virus, Shi and her Virus hunters traveled to the remote Mojiang mineshaft, sampled bats, rats and musk shrews in and around the cave, then brought these samples back to their leaky lab in the crowded city center of Wuhan. They did this for three years, from 2012 to 2015.
The miners’ deaths were reported in a 2013 thesis written by Kunming Medical University postgrad Li Xu. Some believe this paper is evidence that a coronavirus very similar to SARS-CoV-2 could have been infecting humans as early as 2012 — and that WIV had captured, studied and conducted “gain of function” experiments on viruses found in the mine, including RaTG13.”
According to a paper released by Shi and her team in February 2020, RaTG13 (first identified in 2016) shares 96.2% of its genome with SARS-CoV-2.
According to documents obtained via a U.S. Right to Know public records request, in an October 30, 2018, email, Colorado State University (CSU) Professor Tony Schountz wrote to Shi to propose a “loose association” between CSU’s Arthropod-borne and Infectious Disease Laboratory and WIV, involving collaboration on arboviruses and bat-borne viruses and student training of students.” Shi responded positively to Schountz’s suggestion.
CSU and Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Hamilton, Montana were working with the global bat alliance and DARPA to develop “scalable vectored” vaccines to spread through bat populations “to prevent emergence and spillover” of potential pandemic viruses from bats to human populations”. They did this despite concerns about releasing these genetically engineered self-spreading entities “into the open — and the ecological risks of their unknown evolution, virulence and spread.”
To Camelot!
Every quest needs a Camelot. Fauci’s was Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML), an NIH state-of-the-art biomedical research facility in Hamilton, Montana.
According to the NIH, Rocky Mountain Labs “played a key role in our nation’s health and well-being” by focusing its talent and resources on current infectious disease threats.
One hundred years ago, that meant helping overcome the scourge of “black measles,” which was striking down settlers in Western Montana’s Bitterroot Valley at an alarming rate. Today, it means grappling with the more confounding health issues such as influenza, prion diseases, and antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Moreover, its proven history in the study of exotic illnesses makes RML eminently positioned to play a central role in conducting research that could help safeguard the public against infectious disease threats, including a possible bioterror attack… With “state-of-the-art technologies for use by NIAID researchers” their “Genomics Core Unit provides cutting-edge technology and consultation to researchers in the areas of gene sequencing and gene expression…
RML is big. It’s well-established. It’s influential — if you know virology and the study of pathogens, you know RML.
RML was one of the first to get a picture of COVID in action. This was uploaded to Flickr on February 14, 2020, just a week or so after COVID supposedly first entered the US.
But, oddly enough, most media reports of COVID infected deer ignore RML’s existence. Why?
Maybe some words must not be said.
Alright, that’s Enough!
In this NPR article, Andrew Marques, a microbiology Ph.D. student who surely knows better, claims to have absolutely no idea why there’s a ‘stunning’ rate of COVID among wild deer. Humans must be to blame somehow. Or the deer weren’t social distancing. They were touching noses!
In this earlier (November 2021) article, a virologist despairs that her ZeroCOVID dream of ‘eliminating’ COVID was crushed by wayward deer.
“If that’s the case, it would essentially dash any hopes of eliminating or eradicating the virus in the U.S. — and therefore from the world — says veterinary virologist Suresh Kuchipudi at Penn State, who co-led the study.”
The study of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies detected in a sample collected before January 2020, included the caveat that it was “likely a false positive.”
There are a lot of other early cases of COVID that are being written off as “likely false positive’. In Spain, Coronavirus traces were found in a March 2019 sewage sample.
In Italy, researchers found evidence coronavirus was circulating in September 2019.
Frozen blood samples indicate people in five states – Illinois, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and Massachusetts – were infected with coronavirus days or weeks before any cases were officially reported in those states.
But no one can find the animal that [supposedly] gave people COVID-19 in the Wuhan market.
Like the revelations about the DEFUSE proposal and the connection between the Mojiang Mine and SARS COV, the NIH’s funding of dangerous Gain of Function research should have triggered an earthquake in the media. Even the most cynical propagandist should be concerned about virologists constructing potentially deadly gain of function vaccine/viruses that were even “more pathogenic” to humans than the deadly viral soup in that fetid, guano-filled cave.
This is the kind of deadly idiocy + propaganda/coverup that totalitarian regimes used to do so well (see: Lysenkoism, the 4 Pests Campaign). We used to be better than that, but the media’s enthusiastic embrace of ZeroCOVID-inspired lockdowns and mandates were proof, our elites are taking orders from the totalitarians now.
Despite the coverups and misinformation, there’s little doubt that COVID’s spread was result of Virus Hunters taking diseased specimens from isolated areas, then spreading them from the leaky labs of Wuhan to our
purple mountain majesties.
The millions of resulting deaths are proof — the credits on this quest must roll. Those responsible must be sacked. But our noble liars will never admit it.
It’s time for us to speak up about the violence inherent in our bio-’defense’ programs. “Gain-of-function research of concern,” “enhanced potential pandemic pathogens research” and “self-spreading vaccines” can create new, more dangerous pathogens that may cause, not prevent pandemics.
We need to Protect Our Future.
